The FUMC Music Department consists of the Adult Chancel Choir, Adult Handbells, and Children’s WOW Choir.

Adult Chancel Choir

The ADULT CHANCEL CHOIR is a volunteer ensemble that meets each Wednesday evening at 7pm to prepare music for weekly Sunday morning services as well as for special events. A cantata is usually performed to celebrate Christmas and Easter. Other special music is performed throughout the year for various services and events. The ability to read music is not necessary, but is helpful.

Handbell Choir

The HANDBELL CHOIR meets each Wednesday evening at 6pm and is a volunteer group. You do not have to know how to read music in order to be a member of the Handbell Choir but have the desire to “ring” and make music in a fun and encouraging environment. This group usually performs every 5 to 6 weeks during the year in Sunday morning services, participates with the music for Christmas and Easter time and takes the summers off.

WOW! Choir

The WOW! CHOIR is for children ages 4 thru 5th grade. We meet every Sunday morning beginning at 9:20 am in the music room on the 2nd floor of the education building. We sing for morning worship services and special church events, as well as performing our Christmas program at our annual Advent Dinner in December.
